Zumo GPS alternative

Well it seems that Garmin no longer sell the Zumo 660/665. So now I am looking for an alternative. Can I fit any GPS navi with a headphone socket to the Voyager and run it through the Radio as with the Zumo or are we restricted to the ones promoted by Kawa?

Have you checked with Garmin to see if they still do repairs on your GPS?

I had a Nuvi 500 (the waterproof one) I used to use. It developed an issue with the charging port and I sent it to Garmin and got a replacement for $99.

This year, my Nuvi 500 died but because it is too old, Garmin no longer supports it for repairs.

Have you looked at the garmin zumo 395lm or the zumo 595lm. Better than 660 or 665.

They my not be making the Zumo 665/660 any more but this is the one that replace them. zūmo 595LM. Has different features through the 660/665 but close

Well I don't actually have one yet. So I guess the question should be, which GPS Navi will intergreat best with the Kawasaki audio system? From Kawasaki I haven't heard anything apart from the Garmin Zumo 660/665, and to be quite honest I'm not bothered if it's Garmin or another good brand...

@ Highway Rider. I was looking at a 595lm today and the salesman told me that not only does it not have a socket to plug the Voyagers stereo into but the Bluetooth is only so that you can use your mobile phone through the Garmin Zumo. How do you use yours?

Well I use to use a cassette tape adapter on my Voyager 1200 till the drive band in the tape player broke and the drive band can not be replaced. It worked real well the only thing that I was unable to do was talk on a phone. I still prefer the hard wire but now I have been working with a Bluetooth helmet. I Bluetooth the GPS and the pillion helmet the pilots helmet. Bluetooth my phone to the GPS . Then Bluetooth the pillion helmet to the pillions cell phone. Bluetoothing the helmets together gives you intercom ability. Bluetooth pilot helmet to GPS gives you mp3 play back along with that ability to take phone calls and that is because the phone paired to the GPS which handles phone functions for you. You also get GPS commands. Pillion does not. I ride 95% of the time by myself.
