My rear brake pads wear out really quick, and i've been careful not to ride with my foot on the back brake. anyone else having this problem ?

I got about 18000 miles on my original set. I don't know if that is allot or not. My front pads are still good to go for many more miles. I try to use both brakes all the time, but would venture to say it is more like 80% I use the rear brakes.

Are both pads wearing equally? If not there's probably crud on the caliper holder shafts - the two rods that the moveable pad/caliper moves back & forth on. This will cause the pad to drag on the disc & wear quickly. Grease 'em (the shafts) with high temp grease.
