Valve Clearanc

Post by jb32578 »

Can someone with a manual tell me the correct clearances for my 86 ZN1300 Voyager please. Also wondering if anyone has located and successfully ordered valve shims, any info will be greatly appreciated.

Shims are commonly available. I'd go to my local dealer and see what he wants for shims. If that's too expensive or not optimal, there's always eBay or you can buy new here: https://www.z1enterprises.com/engine-pa ... shims.html (and a bunch of other places - Google: 29mm shims)

Before you buy any shims though, have you tried swapping the ones that are already in the head to see if you can get them all within tolerance without installing any 'new' shims?
