86 ZN1300 Radio stopped Tuning

Yesterday, partway through a long day ride, the radio tuning stopped working. Just to be clear, the radio is still working fine but I can't tune any other stations other than what it's on now. Neither the 'seek' button (or scan) on the handlebar or the Up/Down switch on the radio console does anything, and the presets don't change the tuning. Everything was working fine earlier in the day. I'm pretty sure I can trouble shoot this - when I have time - but I thought I'd ask here to see if it's a common symptom of something.
