OIL FILTERS

Post by ohiojack »

I found a couple of other part numbers for oil filters for the 1700. napa gold 1358 and napa proselect 21358, I'm running the proselect right now with amsoil 10-40wt oil. I'm going to change out to the gold in a couple weeks. I thought I would let you guys know. ohiojack

Thanks guys this is good info. All I have ever run is the OEM oil filter and the Amsoil filter. Nice to know about other options. About how many miles between oil changes using these filters? Part # on the carQuest filter?

Just my two cents worth on filters. Wix filter are OEM on most new equipment and are top notch. Napa filter are made by Wix, so same deal. Have used both for 30 plus years in everything, never an issue!

I run 4-5000 on mine, the quest filter will have to look, its very close to the napa numbers. i will look at dinner and let ya know, i buy them in bulk at filter days when they have their sale, still not as cheap as car filters but not bad. Also if you want to do some reading I am not saying a expert but I run Mobil Delvac oil and you can get a gallon of that on sale like 10.00 its standard oil, I have ran Rotella T-6 as well no problems with either. T-6 is more money.

CarQuest filter is 85358 ran home and looked.
