Eeek! You should have done a search on these forums before you bought the Metzler. Try Metzler 880 or chunking problem for search terms.

The metzler provides great mileage. Go to their website to determine the correct pressure for your application. Some of us did have problems with our ME880s about a year ago. Mine started splitting in the rain grooves and since I had 10k on the tire the rep let me have 1/2 off on a replacement tire. I am now running Dunlop E3 tires.

Got 5600 miles out of the stock Bridgestone. Replace that with a Metzeler ME880 180/70-16. Got only 3600 miles out of that, and was very disappointed. Just switched to a Dunlop E3, and my first note is that it rides much smoother than the Metzeler. Only time will tell how it does mileage wise, but I'm very pleased so far.
