I've made a few trips in March. Here are some highlights. Sometimes I will just take a turn and then let the GPS figure out how to get me back on track.
I am back to randomly finding Historic Markers instead of planning the ride around them. It is nice to be surprised and to realize that there are markers in Alabama I still haven't found in the last two years.
I have ridden by the Baker, FL historic museum many times on a cross street and never noticed that it was there. Turned left this time and there it was. Changing up your route from time to time can bring rewards.
Of course the amazing two lane roads that connect the small towns is what I love to ride. There can be thousands of cars on the interstate and sometimes I am all alone on the back roads.

Re: See the USA with the AVA March 2012
I set my sites on spending some time at the Tuskegee Airmen National Monument during one of my rides so I let the GPS guide me there.
I was rewarded with a unique experience regarding our history. This monument will appeal to those with an interest in Aviation, War, History, and Civil Rights. Definitely worth a stop.
They had a sound system going that filled the hanger with sounds one might have heard back in the day. Very well done.

Re: See the USA with the AVA March 2012
There were other static displays and information around the grounds. If you want to learn more about this part of American History, definitely put Tuskegee on your radar.
This portion of David's See the USA with the AVA brought to you buy Gulf Oil. LOL!
