2012 Voyaqer "tall" backrest and trunk rack compatibility

Just purchased a 2012 Voyager. In order to accommodate my wife's comfort requirements, here's my question: Can the Kawasaki accessory passenger "tall" backrest accomm odate the Cobra trunk lid rack??? Cobra doesn't know as they only design aftermarket parts for standard "off the assembly line" models. I've searched and can't find pictures or diagrams which would show if back edge of the backrest interferes with the leading edge of the rack.....help anyone???? Jon

Can't be sure on the Cobra ,but a couple people have both the tall backrest and a trunk rack .

was just looking at mine. The front of my rack overlaps the short backrest with about a 1" gap, above pad. Don't see it fitting on mine the way I have the rack mounted.

Thanks for the reply. My local Kawi dealer says that they can order the Cobra rack. If the fit isn't right, they will send it back for refund. I'll give it a try!!

During development of the 1700 the tall backrest was my design. it overlaps the trunk just as the stock backrest just higher. If the rack is mounted right it should not be a problem. If you were mounting the Cobra with standard backrest and you overlaped it over the back pad the passenger would be very close to it.
