Synchronizing the Carburetors

hey guys, how do you know if you need to Synchroniz the Carburetors? what do i need to look for,never had a bike with Carburetors before. thanks for your help.

hook it up and check the readings Best way to tell.

sorry i don't have the tools to do that.is there something i can listen or look for to see if they need Synchronized with out buying a tool i might not need. :Cball

If your XII idles rough or or won't idle below 800rpm's takes off & hiccups, mileage is less than 35mpg, If it does not run smooth at 4500rpm's in neutral. exhaust burbbles and pops. exhausts manifold pipes vary in temp by 25 + degrees. It could need sync, but not a real problem with the XII. You can do more damage trying to sync them than leaving them alone, if it is running smooth now. imho.
