Has anyone found a source for hand guards for the 1700? I have some on my old 1200 Voyager that mounted under the mirror mounts and the same with my 1500 Drifter. But I have not been able to find a source that has the right angles to clear the brake/clutch reservoirs and mount under the mirror mounts on the 1700.

I rotate the bars down closer to the tank during the cooler months and the fairing provides ample protection.
During the summer months I rotate the bars up so That they just contact the fairing at full lock.
I've seen those clear handguards from that windshield company, isn't coming to me at the moment. You might have to bend your own metal to mount them.
