Is it possible to lower the bike by an inch or two to make it more comfortable in stop and go traffic?

Lowering kits are available for nearly every bike made. Lowering forks is easy, special linkages are available to relocate the rear shocks to lower a bike an inch or two. Check with your dealer.

Be aware though, lowering it will affect your ground clearance cornering.

Oh yeah why would you want to lower it? I have some very nice deep scrapes on my left muffler from cornering I had to replace the smaller heat shield where that pipe come out from under the bike, that one was destroyed
