hi guy, g’day from Australia.
Has anyone had an issue with their K Act or ABS?
I’ve recently had an issue with my right front caliper coming on hard and my rear coming on lightly without me applying the brakes. Happens at speed. Got so hot at one point it boiled the fluid.
I’ve rebuilt the calipers, right front was a little tight probably because it got so hot. Nothing to explain the problem so a mate suggested there might be a problem with the K Act system.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Wayno

... one reply from a friend..

Dirty or bad ABS sensor giving a false reading of wheel speed could be a cause. Check the gap between sensor and the slotted wheel rotor.

Re: K Act ABS problem
Pulled the fuses for the abs and KAct and it seems to be better. So definitely a problem with the abs/KAct system.

Re: K Act ABS problem
Do you have a shop manual? There is a somewhat lengthy section on how to read the service codes on your bike, (if any) have you done this? Also, be aware that there are certain things electrically you do not want to do on this system, so you should read the ABS-K ACT chapters in the shop manual. PM me if you need help with getting a manual...
