I-POD cable question

Post by 305940 »

I now have a little over 100 miles on my new 2019 VV 1700 and am very pleased with it. There are two cables in the left fairing pocket which can connect the sound system with either an Ipod of Satellite radio. Where can I find the cable to connect with my Ipod? Is there an adapter cable that must be purchased to use an Ipod? The ends of these two cables in the faring pocket do not fit my Ipod.

Any help would be appreciated

Yes you have to purchase the cables. I bought both the Ipod and the phone jack cables. They are worth the money, why because they both cables come with a foam Ipod or phone holster, that's mad to fit the left fairing pocket. The Ipod cable comes with a charger for the Ipod.
I've had my cables since 2012

I used the iPod adapter not the 3.5 jack. I installed first in the glove box, but that video shows you how I mounted under the cowl. Use a 24.00 bluetooth device, when you turn on the bike it will stay charged, I'm using the "coolstream duo" have had on for about 5 months, phone pairs easy.

Hope that helps!!!

Ragergreg, does the Coolstream duo just plug into the I-pod adapter and you have Bluetooth capability?
Thank you sir.
