Parts for the DFI system

Post by madmax »

For those who are looking for parts for the DFI system. Most are no longer available from Kawasaki. But there are car parts that do the same job.
Let’s start with the air temp sensor, it’s just a ntc thermistor. Now if you have a BMW then you may well have the part fitted to it.
It may not look the same but it will do the same job. They fit it to these. BMW 318 324 320 325 525 524 525 730 740 Porsche 928 & Ferrari.
Part number:- 13621711371. Available from Aliexpress for around $8.00
Now the engine temp sensor.
On the early VW / Porsche’s fitted with FI, this is the Part number :- 311906041A Cylinder Head Temp Sensor. Again it’s a thermistor and will work on the Kawasaki DFI system. Amazon sell for $19.55.
You will have to modify connectors & may be more. But it will keep your bike on the road. I hope this info is of some help to you.
