1999 kawasaki voyager 1200 - Replacing fuel line from tank to fuel pump.

Post by TonyLudwick »

My son has a 1999 Kawasaki Voyager XII 1200cc. The fuel line coming from the gas tank is leaking. Has anyone here found a way to replace this fuel line without taking the frame apart? There is little room to get at the hose where it connects to the tank. I am just hoping that someone has clever way of doing this that they would be willing to share that they have learned from experience.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Take off the left side cover, remove the coolant overflow and surge tanks, and you should be able to get in there.

After you get in there,as per GrandpaDenny,I used a right angle needlenose pliers to remove the clamps and gently wiggled the old hose off,and with, WD40 to lube the new hose, wiggeled the new hose back on.
With a little patience,it goes pretty easy.
