Today I renewed my coverage for my 750 Vulcan. I asked the lady if she could be so kind as to give me an idea of what it would run me to add the '86 Voyager onto the existing account.
For liability only it'd add a bit over $100 a year. If I went up one notch in coverage, it jumped to $300 a year, additional.
What kind of coverage do you have on yours, just minimum liability, or more?

Re: What are your thoughts on insurance?
When I added a second bike, a Shadow 500, two summers ago, my insurance went DOWN 35 dollars a year. Then a few months later when I sold the little bike, my insurance went back up fifteen bucks. Insurance is strange. My first experience with that was when I owned a house in Florida a bit over 20 years ago. My Jeep Cherokee was insured with one company, about 600 bucks a year IIRC. My homeowners was with another company, $1000 a year. I got my old Jeep pickup running and put it and the Cherokee with one company and my TOTAL insurance for the house and two vehicles was $975 a year.
The minimum requirement here in PA is 15/30/5 IIRC. I'm running 100/300/25 and my insurance this year on the bike was $115 with all the discounts. My renters insurance with the same company is $154/year. It added very little for me to go up higher on the bike insurance. Shop around.

Re: What are your thoughts on insurance?
My recommendation is to find an insurance broker. They typically will search out the best coverage for the lowest price. They deal with multiple agencies, they know who is good to work with, and who is not, as well as who offers the best coverage for the lowest price.
They can discuss coverage options with you, giving you the best advice for your particular situation. They are experts, more so than people on an Internet forum. LOL! They will assess your individual situation, far better than we can. Cheers!

Re: What are your thoughts on insurance?
My agent is an independent and works with at least 24 different companies.
My 01 XII is covered with full coverage with an extra $5000 rider to cover accessories, same policy also covers a 92 Kaw 440 and total for the year is $260.
I would agree with SgtSlag and find a broker/independent agent or shop around, rate quotes are free!
