I haven't ridden in much rain since installing the Elite 3 so I can't comment much.

What I can say if the ME 880 (Vulcan 750) and Avon Storm ST (ST1100) stuck great even in torrential downpours. With that said, I almost lost it on both bikes because of steel plates & dew on the yellow line (made a quick left turn across the yellow line). If you come across steel plates, the best thing to do is keep your speed steady and go straight.

You can't even compare Elite II to Elite 3. Major improvement in tire technology. I've never had an issue with wet handling, but I am not going racing speeds in the rain either. I would rather ride in the rain than in all this left over salt and sand that is on the roads.
