brand new 2015 voyager with 1600 miles
cannot push backwards into a parking spot. after some effort I heard a clunk and it freed up.
after lunch I was rolling forward and heard a clunk and it wouldn't push back again. limped home and it freed up again.
WTF is going on??? Tranny? final drive???
I checked the calipers and they seem fine.
has anyone had this happen and what did you do to fix it?

Re: not rolling backwards
I don't have a 1700 but I have to say it sounds like you have a serious transmission issue. Have you taken it to the dealer and asked their mechanics if anyone else has experienced this? I wouldn't wait too long. Some serious damage could be coming your way if you do.

Re: not rolling backwards
You might want to check your belt for a foreign object.
A stone could be stopping the belt at the wheel or even the front sprocket.Once you bump it around you can back up a long ways before hitting it again.
Probably will not save a trip to the dealer ,but at least someplace to start.

Re: not rolling backwards
just put it on the lift with a Kawasaki mechanic (not a dealer but closer and a friend) and he gave it the once over on the belt and alignment and found nothing no noises no damage to the belt NOTHING. naturally its not doing now...
Brought it out once around the block (45 miles) and couldn't get it to do it again.

Re: not rolling backwards
well, they found something (thank god) now I can ride without the constant worry of breaking down.
there is a bearing between the rear sprocket and the rear wheel that was bad. this in turn ruined the rubber dampeners in the same area between sprocket and wheel.
Warrantee work.
I'm that guy that if its going to happen its gonna happen to me. LOL
guess I'll ride the VTX this week...
