Chrome side cover rubber bumper

Post by Van Voyager »

The front side of the chrome sidecover has a small rubber bumper that fits into a small pocket on the airbox. The bumper comes off of the cover but unfortunately, it's not shown on the fiche as a separate part. I need one of those bumpers if anyone has one their willing to part with. Let me know. Thanks.

Hardware store is an option but truthfully it's not that important. I just thought that someone may have some ratty covers that would never grace a bike so don't need the bumpers.

Just going over my wish list... I'm still looking for one of those rubber bumpers if anyone comes across one.

One of mine is laying in the grass somehwere both of these covers were so stuck in the rubber grommets that when I got them to release it snapped the plastic post off the bottom of both covers and snapped one of those little bumper tabs off. if you find a source let me know I can rebuild the tab easy as pie and have already repaired the stay post that goes into the grommet, but the rubber is apparently unobtainium and even though I have scoured the grass where I took it apart I can not find the original rubber.
