Mary Jane and I have the rally on our calendar and are planning on being in Springfield in 2021. We will more than likely trailer the trike down there and do what riding we can while we are there. We are looking forward to seeing you all again.

Well I don’t want to be negative but I can’t commit. I already have 3 close friends and relatives that have died from this virus. And it’s still spreading like wildfire. I will not commit to going to the rally or being anywhere near crowds until there is a vaccine and this virus is wiped out. I will still be on self quarantine until this virus is gone. Don’t kid yourself. This rally may not happen .

I understand your point Kim. We are moving ahead as if it is eradicated. Yes it would suck if we have to cancel next year because of Covid. We just have to have it in the works though.

Thank you to the board for making good decisions. I am riding by myself and with my cousin who also has a voyager. Next week going on a 500 mile day ride. That will be fun. We bring our own lunch with and eat in a park or cemetery away from people. That’s the best we can do for now to stay covid free and still ride.

Trisha and I will be there. I plan on doing some riding on old route 66.

Kim, I agree, we've been self quarantining and only doing short day rides.

Marie and I will be there if things have been taken care of with this damn virus. We went on a one week getaway with our son and girlfriend...... It did not go well. Chris dropped his bike on a u-turn on a hill. MUCH damage to the Yammi, and right before this as I was making the same u-turn, using the full width of the roadway, the edge of the tar gave way and dropped me down into the edge of the cliff. :!! Hung up on the chunk of concrete under the road, I was unable to help him and stayed on the bike holding it up until help arrived and got his bike up and made sure he was OK. CAN YOU SAY GRISWALD FAMILY VACATION.....
So after having someone get this chunk out from under the center stand, I managed to inch it along and get back on the tar. Mannanuten VA is one area I will NEVER travel to again. ITS A LONG STORY...
So we are ready for a rally !!!! God willing

Look for some upcoming info on a ride in next year. Will be announcing a ride into the rally later this summer on 66!

After living in Spfld, MO for 25 years, I'm on the fence. But I can offer some pro tips.
Been in Florida for 8 years so I am sure much has changed.

Missouri IS a helmet law state.
The traffic in Branson sucks, period. Try to avoid if at all possible. Learn the back roads if venturing in. Fun place for late night adult go-karting.
The Landing - Branson - not sure of the story here, on Taneycomo Lake - bring a jacket if at night - water is very cold all year
The biggest Bass Pro Shop is in Spfld. It's home
O'reilly Auto Parts - also calls Spfld home
Gotta ride by the Fed Med center on Kansas Exp.
Sequiota Park - spring out of a cave - in Galloway Village
Old Hwy D - East Sunshine over The James River
Riding through the square and Rt. 66.
College St. and the wall mural. - Still on Rt. 66
Cross Kansas Exp, still on College and see some of the old buildings from the Rt.66 days.
Power plant - Lake Springfield
The Falls - Joplin
West Chestnut out of Spfld - Turns into 96 (Rt. 66) into Carthage, Web City, Joplin, Galena, Baxter Springs and on to Commerce, OK. the home town of the legend, Mickey Mantle. All while on Rt. 66 into Miami (pronounced Mee a Mah) OK. Casinos... (Rt 96 you pass old garages and the National Gas Pipeline)
Below Table Rock dam on Taneycomo lake. Bring your jacket. Water is less than 60 degrees all year long - fun trout fishing
Fellows Lake - north of Springfield about 10 miles - Large park and I do mean 100 plus acres with roads
Lake Taneycomo Dam - Forsyth - cool old steel bridge further down crossing the "Pot Hole" (hint - bring your fishing gear)
The Ferry - Hwy 125 crosses from MO to Ark over Bull Shoals Lake - ride here is amazing in the fall!!!
Albino squirrels in Aurora - a must see if your never been close to them
Wilson's Creek National Battlefield - First battle west of the Mississippi - Civil War
Hwy 160 south into Hwy 13 down through Kimberling City, across Table Rock Lake into Blue Eye back out to Hwy 60 - decent Ozark Mountains ride

Plan a trip to Lamberts Cafe in Ozark - home of the throw'd rolls - make reservations!!!
Hemingways - inside Bass Pro - Sunday brunch use to be amazing.
Caspers - you have to like midwest chili ( might not be open anymore )
For those like me, yes they have Waffle House's
The Outback in Branson is NOT one of the box ones.

Cresent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas - Very haunted
Big Cat rescue somewhere close to Eureka Springs
Anyone coming from the South southeast, Mammoth Springs Arkansas is very cool

Weather patterns this time of year can get violent. Please be prepared. They do have tornado sirens. They do not mean go outside - lol uh huh!!!

Hope this helps.
Ask questions.
