Tony, you can't use a two stroke part on a four stroke :rolling:
That is being quite creative
Good job.

So happy I could accomplish this without pulling the carbs again ! ...lucky that this happened on cylinder # 1 (or #4 would have been ok) if it was 2 or 3 ,I would have had to pull the carbs again :-( ..........with the 2 stroke part,,I could have just been patient, waiting on the part from Carl, but I guess that's not a option to my brain.... :help: ,some old bikes , the emulsion tube , and needle jet are one piece , the Voyager is 2 separate parts,, after 45 years of doing this ....I will always check to verify this on ALL 4 carbs ,before installing them back on the bike ! ...lesson learned !

So I felt the need to go buy yet another Voyager XII , went South out of my home in Toledo and got which turns out to be my 4th Gold Voyager over the years, I currently have ( 2) 87's now, I decided to put my own twist on this one , and turn it into a "bagger" .....as I have sold my 1300 Voyager six cylinder recently , that was kinda /sorta a "bagger" . As you may expect , all the common neglect was present on this one as well as all the others......this one had been sitting outside with no cover on it in the elements since the summer of 2019,, I can only assume it stopped running .but that is no big deal to me , as I need to stay busy during the cold winter months here in Northern Ohio. Anyway , here are some pictures of what is underway, and I will be in no hurry to get this one done , or I would just have to go find/buy another one to bring up to spec and as always STAY BUSY .

What "no riding season"? I've missed a total of about two weeks riding this winter. As long as the roads are clear, I don't care how cold it is, I ride!

It's not either the cold or the salt that bothers me, I've ridden to work in 17* temps. Its the traction/anti-skid materials that are spread all over the roadways in my area that scare the ba'Jesus out of me. I've gone down with the bike once and that was nearly at a full stop, I sure is heck don't want to have that happen while going thru and intersection or straight on a road that was heavily covered!!!!! :!!

My winter riding days are over , ....back in Feb. 2019 , I had gone out on a service call for my biz, that required engine and trans pulled out of a piece of heavy equipment , the job was in a unheated warehouse , temps at actual zero to -20 which took 3 weeks to complete that year. I had a torpedo heater which didn't do much except give me a headache , sore throat , and red pinchy eyes ! , soon after completing that job , came down with pneumonia, never been the same since . As Loren mentioned ,I dont like riding my bike through the rock salt and clean-up afterwards, and as Scott said as we age thru our 60's and 70's the fall that can result from bad road conditions, are enough reason to just sit the winter out , and get all those things done on your bike that need some attention ......... :LvStrk

All done with the latest Voyager XII , I decided to turn this one into a "bagger" , as I have other gold Voyagers , After solving a lot of issues with this one , she runs great , . Most of the issues were electrical ,due to the bike being left out in the Ohio weather for a few years , no cover . :-( ,, I made 2 luggage racks for the bike , one for solo seat , and a smaller one for when the passenger seat is on the bike , . This bike has 59k on the clock , and it is now ready to start it's new 2nd life . :-D

Thank you Loren :-D , as far as the Gold Rush truck goes ......as with all things like this I suppose , it rarely ever leaves the garage .....maybe 5 times per year , but everytime I take it out , it's for a long ride , 100 miles or more , fresh fuel and sea foam gets added , and back in the garage it goes . It's a summertime thing , the rest of the time ......it's taking up garage floor space ,which I cant spare . Back when I had rental houses , I used to keep it under the cover in a garage, so I had more room for bikes here ! :LvStrk

Yah,Tony,we have a model A that I spend insurance money on,keep seafoam in,and rarely drive it.
Where it is parked is hard to get out of,and is not really very fun to drive with todays traffic. :hmm:

Well , I said during the winter of 2022-2023 I wasn't going to buy any bikes , instead focus on my street rod "Gold Rush " truck , . I painted it in 2006 and never did a heck of a lot of finishing many of the ideas that I had for the interior of the truck ......so around November, I completed my complete renovation of my workshop , and set in to the truck's interior , I wrapped that work up in 4 months , and decided to go up north and get yet another Voyager XII , this one is a 2002 ......it had been let go (as always) , and another long list of issues to get repaired , coolant manifold o-rings leaking , carbs leaking , left side engine oil leaks from the normal places, then after completing my list of repairs on this one , I took it out for a test ride , and found that the clutch slips terribly , so back up on the air lift it went ! after taking a look at things , I had to open up the clutch cover and disassemble the clutch finding both "spyder springs" busted , first time finding this in my 10 Voyagers I've owned , so I replaced everything and had one 6mm fastener to heli-coil insert, looks like someone started taking the cover off at some point , broke off one of the 6mm screws and stopped  , After getting the bike home I noticed that the left saddlebag lid was busted up pretty bad , once again P.O. did not have the lids locked and tethered , and this one went bouncing down the hi-way , the P.O solution was to do his body work by simply going and getting a roll of Gorilla tape for this repair....anyway , here are some pictures of the 02', and as a unexpected bonus , I went behind the seller's barn , and saw this 97' Kawasaki Bayou sitting up against the building , turns out it had been sitting there for years , so I bought them both ! ...................Tony :-D

So over the summer of 2023 I bought three more Voyagers  , but a good friend bought my 91' and I am glad it got a good home and a guy that rides it often, currently have 7 Voyagers , I finished the 86 I bought in Mich. even tho I said it was going to wait until winter until I had time to solve all the issues with it , this guy left this one sinking in the mud behind a shed left outside uncovered for many years ...I had to rescue it ...spent over 100 hours on it , and have been out riding it , it's a very nice riding/running bike, the travel trunk was in such bad shape , I decided to leave itoff , and made/installed a small luggage carrier to replace it. Then I went down to Mansfield Oh. and bought another 03' , couldn't believe so many things could be wrong with a machine , complete owner neglect , it didn't run ( and I new that ) but bought it anyway......this one is getting a complete refurbish ,including a new Kenwood 200 watt Bluetooth stereo ,and then will use that oem stereo in the 88' that needs a stereo . I am likely going to give it to my son , he offered to buy it when Im done with it , but whats the difference , when I croak , he will get everything anyway  then last week I got a call from a old friend that told me his landlord was giving his house to the daughter and he had to move out, he really didn't have the money to move as that is very expensive , and asked me to buy his 88' Voyager, so to help a brother out , I bought it , it had not been rode for over a year , so I took a battery , and a can of fresh gas with me, it fired up and I rode it home in the rain ....... here are some pictures to share ....Tony :-D
