Takes three attempts to start after if I have ridden for even a minute and stop

Post by JimMoo »

Good Morning all!
If I pull my bike out, start it up(starts up instantly) and realize I forgot something.....I turn off the bike. When I start it up again, she doesn't turn over for at least three attempts. This happens if I stop for gas or even lunch on a day of riding. I am getting it serviced today (48 month service) and they will be looking at this. Any suggestions.

I'm heading down to Deal's Gap and Charlotte, NC to visit my son in a couple of weeks (before Memorial Day) and figured I should get someone who knows to give her a good look over. Figured I would call when they open to let them know I had the Ivan Flash. Not sure if that is something they would undo or not!

11,200

The dealer looked at it, reproduced the problem but couldn't find a cause. They did say, if I move the throttle just slightly at the first start when she is warm, bingo...fires up. I'm hoping it isn't the beginning of the F1 error?

So its still under warranty?
If so then I wouldn't except that, from the dealer.

Warranty expired in August of 2020..I bought in in October of last year. It does start every time as long as I tweak the throttle just a bit if it was running before. It can even be 1 minute and it does this.
