Post by HMB Don »

My first tank of gas today, pulling my trailer loaded. I started in Erie, PA, heading for Columbus, OH.

Yes heading to the AVA RALLY via Americade.
Trip meter 217 miles, I put in 4.49 gallons. For MPG of 48.2

I am a soon as he gets it running properly. It was only running on 3 cylinders. Sent the carbs to Carl and he received them but hasn't installed them yet.

Here are two pictures of my sooon to be 1200. Except for the right side faring damage, it's all intact.

It has Marvellas floorboards, these are the floorboards to have. The mileage is 223,000.

Wow! How is your bike set up and your average speeds?
I have a '16 with Sharkroad slip ons and Ivans...been getting about 38mpg with average speeds of 70. I drive it to work, 44 miles on cruse. I would love to know what others get and do you think I have an issue? I would be tickled just to hit the mid 40's !

Gene is talking about an XII.

Mine routinely gets mid- to high-40s when touring on viewsome roads. Low 40s on superslab if I keep it mostly legal. If I'm in a hurry, 85+mph gets me into the 30s. I only got 50+ below about 50mph, such as all day on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
