Unable to go to the rally

We are having to cancel our plans to go to the rally because of a loss of three employees, who resigned And with a lot of advertising,no replacements showed up[accept one who wanted to start at $120,000 per year]
We were hoping to meet all of you again after seeing you in Springfield in 2021 ,but we do not have anyone to sub for me this year.

I retired at 62 and never looked back and loving retirement ever since. I should have retired at 55. I’m 69 now and I do whatever whenever .

I also retired a few years ago, but I can't do anything I really want to do. I've got way too many chores postponed from years before I retired.

When you retire, the first thing you want to do is chunk your job jar in the trash.

I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that fast food restaurants are begging people to work for $13 an hour! A local grease-n-cheese is offering daily cash money to anyone who speaks English and has a current heartbeat. I remember as a teenager having to beg the employer for a job, and being grateful for it!

My how times/our nation/our culture has changed.


I have some of my dads cancelled checks from the late 70's. He would cash personal checks at the local grocery store for a dollar. A DOLLAR!

Can you imagine doing that today? What was he buying with a dollar?

Maybe a loaf of bread and a pack of smokes....or a gallon of gas was 60 to 70 cents. But adjusted for inflation, fairly similar.
