gauges acting weird

Post by augwld »

Start up, no gauges. Warms up and temp gauge starts working, then tach and fuel gauges start working. Did the Battery electrolyte to orange wire signal relay bypass. Ran a secondary wire from yellow/black igniter wire to neg. battery terminal. Cleaned negative/ground frame connection. Engine purrs. Bike runs beautifully, air shocks working, speedometer no issues. Radio is stuck on h/s (headset mode). sending to the great Pete Frachi so he can work his magic and upgrade. Why the delay in fuel gauge and tach operating?

It sounds, augwld, that it may be time to go through your wiring harness disconnecting the harness at each connector, cleaning them with contact cleaner, use dielectric grease, then reconnecting them :hmm:
I think there is a post on this forum regarding this .
