The left knob on your am/fm radio controls your intercom volume. Rotate it clockwise to increase volume and counterclockwise to decrease volume. I have mine in the center which works fine for me. The outer ring of that knob is to adjust for the speaking volume (microphone) required to mute the sound from the am/fm stereo radio or cassette player. On the other knob, the Tone/AVC outer ring controls the automatic volume for the fairing mounted speakers. The volume increases as the bike's speed increases.
