Hey Steve. Sorry to hear about your cruise not engaging.

Do you have a service manual?

Sounds like a Dealer item to me. The orange light would indicate power but not engaging may mean some electrical hicky from the switch out.

If your bikes still under warranty, which I believe it might be, let the dealer deal with it.

That is right, it is a warranty item. However there are a couple things that will keep it from engaging. There will be a switch on the front and rear brakes plus one on the clutch. If any of them is showing the brake / clutch is engaged it will keep it from engaging the cruise.
Good luck and let us know what the problem is.

The service manual has a step by step process for determining where the problem might be. This bike is pretty smart. It will provide fault codes when you put it in test mode to help you diagnose the problem. It is in the electrical section of the service manual. This way you will know what the problem is before bringing it to the tech and see if they come up with the same result.

Thanks David for your help. It is showing fault code 2 which is front/rear brake cancel switch. I spent a couple of hours working on it last night with no luck. I will be taking it in to the dealer for warranty repair on Monday and will give follow up when it gets fixed.

Thanks,

Steve

That's very interesting. The test showed something different than what was replaced. :hmm:

I'm glad it was fixed Steve.
