I know some are not fond of the Corbin seats, but when you see the finished product and how it looks on my Voyager! I missed the comfort part so this coming week I'll be heading back to get it to fit better. Corbin lets you walk through there whole factory and watch them at every step while they make your seat. This is why I'm broke.....

I've got my Versys seat at Terry's in Tullahoma, TN. He is the guy who makes the custom Voyager XII seats.

I have a Corbin on my Mean Streak and just finished two 430 mile rides with it and I must say I am impressed.

Will post up some photos in the 'other bike' section.

I rode down to Corbin yesterday; to get the seat refitted to me. I was taken care of just like if I was buying a new seat. It took them about 4 1/2 hrs from when I rode up to when I was riding away. The best part was this service was free. For me it's a 180 mile round trip, by the time I got home I new this seat was now proper for my back side.

Don,

Were the rider and pillion areas custom-sized? The stock dimensions listed on the Corbin website would appear to have a deeper (front to back) rider area with less front-to-back space for passenger- which keeps me from ordering as I am only 5'6", 140#. I don't want to be any further back than stock. I had a Corbin on my VStrom and loved it but have hesitated ordering for Voyager cause it looks like I'd be sitting more to the back. Thanks.

I'm only 5'9" and very short inseam 29", yes I had them move me forward about 2" and the same with the back rest. I also installed 2" risers, and moved the floorboards back 3 1/2 inches. I now fit my 1700 like it was made for me. I made an extra set of brackets for the floor boards, with a shortened shift rod, and two extra bolts.

The pictures of the seat show a strip of leather under the back rest, the wraps down the sides of the seat. That is how much forward I moved my seating position.
