Bought some Fram CH6013 oil filters for my ZN1300. The large o-ring for the cover that came with the filter is way to big. I checked all six filters and all are the same.
Anybody else use the Fram CH6013 filters and have this problem. What about other filters?
Oil filter o-rings don't fit.

I usually just try not to damage the old o ring and reuse it.
Otherwise just go to a hardware store and get one (or a bunch of them) .
If your in the middle of changing oil this works well because you can take the cover and the old ring with and make sure you get the correct one.

Thanks, Bill. That's what I was down to as options. On another 1300 site a guy said he did some cross-referencing between brands and the the Fram CH6014 filter is supposed to be the right one for our ZN1300's and have the right o-rings, so I might go check them out. Will check it out and report back if it is correct.
But, I still like your idea of picking up several at the local hardware store. Yes, I did reuse my old one, but it was pretty flat, so I am keeping a close watch for leakage.
My drain plug is completely rounded off now, too! Had to apply a 24" pipe wrench to break it free. Planning to weld a 1" X 1/4" X 2" bar across it to make it easier to grip with Channel-Loks and break free. Most used ones I see on eBay look to be well-rounded, too. Seems to be a chronic problem.
