3d printed Voyager XII fork covers

Post by filbert »

Hello All
I made some fork covers for my bike. They seem to work pretty well at keeping bug debris off the fork leg? If you have access to a 3d printer go to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:938960" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and download the file. Let me know how they work out

We have one of these in our shop at the High School. It is neat to see what the students can create.

Several years ago, I purchased a set of foam fork covers from a member. They wrap around the tubes, secured by Velcro. I added a zip-tie to make them more secure. Any sheet foam can be used, though. Secure it to the lower tube with a zip-tie. Easy-Peasey. Cheers!

I made them out of abs plastic but pla plastic will work as well. I designed the model and exported it as an stl file. Pretty much any 3d printer software can slice and build it.
