does anyone have one of the kaw made driver backrests? hard to find.

Mine had a Utopia, when I bought it. I won't be without a driver's backrest ever again... That pouch, on the back, is fantastic! We store our maps in there, which allows the passenger to be our navigator. We change positions every two hours, so I know, first-hand, how useful that pouch is, as well as the whole design of the backrest. The driver leans forward allowing the passenger to access it, while riding. Fantastic piece of work. Cheers!
