I have family coming into town on Friday 24th, so I'm planning on pulling out on Thursday. Do we have an event schedule for Thursday? What is happening and times. I have a 6 hour ride home. Can I stay for some stuff and still make it home at a decent time?

The rally actually starts on Tuesday. There is a catered dinner ( for $ 20 per person) in the park that is an extra item paid for when you register, if you want to attend. We always plan on getting there on Sunday to get settled in and meet and greet old friends. If you arrive on Monday you will not miss any of the planned rally activities.

They usually don't head out for dinner until around or after 5pm. Maybe 4:30 depending on schedule or distance to the park. But if you're there mid afternoon, you'll be fine.

WE are looking forward to the rally very much ! A special year for us here in 2016, is that our friends from the east of where we live (since they are headin this direction anyway) are gonna attend a "pre-rally" get together at our home ! .............My wife told me to get the place "spruced up" a bit , cause we got "company comin" :gig: , ( I thought I just got done doin this !)

After a 9 hour day of humpin heavy equipment, this is the LAST thing that I wanted to do ! But we all know that "happy wife, happy life" applies here ! She seems to be in tune with this AVA forum, and takes pictures of me doin what I do !(most never get posted ! ) but always give a smile !

Image

I don't Know if the rest of you guys have ever tried to spread the "BEHR DECK OVER" product... but this stuff is like trying to spread out peanut butter ! :dm:

The whole time I'm doing this , Im asking the kids for some help here ! ....but like the ol' "Phil Collins"
song ..."There's no reply at ALL " Shooting hoops is more important ,than helpin' "dear ol' dad " :-(

oh well .....life goes on for this ol' mechanic !

Life goes on .... see you all in a few weeks at the rally ! .....................Tony :-D

Did a quick search of room availability in June of 2017 (just because i was wondering on their rates), only things i seen in June were Family Cabins, lodge kings (about half booked in June already) and Lodge with 2 Queens (only 1 week thats not pretty well booked up in June, 11th-17th).

Sounds like if the Lodge is where people want to stay, thing will need to be setup and reserved really early for this one.

The AVA may have blocked rooms already which would reduce the available rooms shown online.
