Yeah kinda pricey....but what are ya gonna do ? I cant make these in my shop !
So, off comes the rear "stock" floorboards ready to be modified ,to what they need to be,to accept the "wife pleasing " floorboards.

I was gonna load up all of my pieces, and drive to the machine shop and spend a bunch of time, doing what I was able to accomplish in a short period of time ....with a matobo type cut off tool ,and a bench grinder . After looking the job over....OFF comes the mounting posts for the stock floor board pivot pins....here is a look at that :

There in front of the "pivot pin" you see the two mounting posts that had to GO

Next after some "eyeballing" things....and measuring bolt placement...
(cause,remember... ya gotta be able to re-attach it to the bike) the new 3/8 inch holes are drilled.....here is a look at that :

I put a couple of black arrows on the pieces,in case any one else may want to do the update to their bike,,,,,and make the Mrs. very happy, cause being able to relocate your feet,on a cross country ride is important to the passenger ,as well as the driver !
I assembled the pieces, using "red loctite" on the bolts....cause these assemblies can now be taken on and off the bike as a unit from here on out ,and won't ever need to be disassembled (did I just say never ?

So let's throw em back on da bike and have a look...

Man ...do I like the looks of these ,and added some BLING to the old XII !

Total time spent... (including playing with the wood stove)was about three hours. So...this raps up another work session of improving my XII. thought I would make this post in case any one else might wan't to do the same...............Tony
