Re: hands falling asleep
I added about a pound air to the front forks (don't know what the actual reading is, as she was on the center stand with weight on the front tire - ten pounds like that, it's substantially less without weight on the front wheel - it's probably right around eight pounds now). Manhole covers in the right lane of 611 up the road a little used to drive me buggy. Now I can cruise right over them. However, on the 611 bypass, the thumpers in the road are still bouncing me out of the seat. I call 'em thumpers because that what happens when you hit them. Raised seams in the road I guess they actually are, or raised patches. They go across the road. They suck.

Man, Gene, these were worse than the ones on the Schuykill! So I guess I've got the front end dialed in about best it's gonna be. Eventually I'll change the fork oil and that will probably help too. After I get Geraldine on the road I'll do Gertrude's suspension. I don't want to do anything to Gertrude that might risk her being down (as in if I screw up, er, I mean discover I need an additional part, or tool, or help) without alternate transportation.

Denny, I'm just reading your post about a ride. Shame I missed it, would have liked to go for a ride. But, thiroid med's were a bit overdosed and the Doc. didn't see that, I have been a bit under the weather since we last spoke on the phone. I even missed ridding over the holidays.

Yes,I am surprised such a little adjustment made such a difference
