You may want to just cut the 10 pin connector out and solder all of them to prevent other electrical issues and just get it over with. I did this on both my bikes over a decade ago after having weird electrical issues at different in opportune times. Best decision I have ever made on these bikes. Know many others that have done the same. If you don’t at some point it will bite you again.
