CUSTOM ACCESSORIES FOR 1700

Post by mah902 »

After 45 years of riding I bought my first V-twin in July 2014--a leftover 2013 Voyager

I like the bike but have not been on any lengthy trips --I have put 4000 miles on going to work

I see so many accessories for sale for Harleys such as dash trim etc.

Does anyone know of a company that specializes in parts that specifically fit 1700 Voyagell

Outside of the factory accessories, all I'm seeing is "UNIVERSAL TRINKETS" THANKS ALL

I would start with going to the Kawasaki factory website and looking at the accessories there. They are expensive, but well made and fit perfectly. I bought the guards for the tops of my side bags to protect them from being kicked and for tying stuff on, and a 12 inch windshield. Here's the link: http://www.kawasaki.com/Accessories/Vehicle/VN1700BDF" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For things like foot pegs, cell phone and cup holders, Kuryakan has the best stuff. You can buy their stuff at Leatherup: http://www.leatherup.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Good places to start.

Marvellas.

I seem to have been able to load my Voyager up with accessories even though the availability is limited. Not sure what else I would add to the bike.

I have an 09 that i like but on long trips my wife gets uncomfortable, i wished this bike had an adjustment on the passenger floor boards. I had a machinist friend modify the rear mounts to raise the rear pegs 2". My wife is much happier with this . She is 5'4" and i imagine that these could be modified to several different heights. I will post pics soon and contact info if allowed

Cobrausa.com makes a rack specifically for the voyager. Put one on my 2011 a few years ago. Also installed kuryakyn 6" tour tech cruise mounts. They wrap around the lowers great so you can put your highway pegs in easy reach. Both look and work great.
