Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!
Those of you that belong to the Voyager group on Facebook already know that my XII was destroyed by a building fire this past weekend. The sad news is that insurance is not going to cover the loss, so it looks as if a different ride is not in my future. So therefore it is time to say good by to this great group of Kawasaki Voyager fans. Who knows, I may be back.

Really sorry to hear about your loss. Now I'm hoping that you'll be able to find another great Voyager so you can come riding with us all. really happy you weren't hurt in the fire.
One doea not have to have a bike to enjoy or partake in this forum. You can still stay in contact with all your riding brothers and sisters until you find another ride.

Earlier this month I stumbled upon a '02 Kaw Concours on craigslist. Price was right and it was within a reasonable distance from home. Needless to say, I am the proud owner of the aforementioned motorcycle. It might not be a Voyager in many ways, but it is a Kawasaki and capable of touring.

COG Concours Owners Group is having their national rally-wait for it......... June 11-14 in Kerrville TX. Check out their website for lots of good info.
The Connie has 41k on the odometer, so it is capable of many more miles. One of the reasons I got it as cheap as I did, the first owner laid it down on the left side, so it had "rebuilt" on the title. The second owner, the one I purchased it from, rode it for seven years, without doing any other repairs to the plastic. Already looking at replacing the windshield with one from Clearview and a peg lowering kit from Murphs'. I would also like to find the short passenger backrest for the mrs. and a rack so that I can mount the trunk from my XII when (if?) we go on some long trips together. Must say I do miss the two-stage center stand from the XII, it is a little bit of a struggle to get it up on the center stand.
As for next years Kerrville rally, The mrs. already has plans for the end of June, something about a birthday party as we both turn the big "60" next year, me in Feb., and her in Oct.

Don't apologize. The Concours 1000 is a great bike. I have a friend who moved to Florida who has one. I think he is going to end up selling it though because he has nobody to ride with there. I have ridden his Concours and it really gets up and goes. That 6 speed transmission doesn't hurt either. As for leaving, there is no rule that says you have to own a Voyager to remain here. Stick around, at times somebody asks questions about a Concours and once you learn the bike you can respond to them. If you can try joining COG (Concours Owners Group). They have a website and lots and lots of info.
