I saw this thread (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8616&p=64928&hilit=TPMS#p64928), but it's a few years old. Any news, especially in-tire system or including tire temp?
Here's an updated link to Orange systems: http://www.rrrtoolsolutions.com/article ... or-system/, which seems pretty groovy (and on sale -- $175).
Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Re: TPMS recommendations?
I'm seeing lots of mixed reviews (especially lousy service and short life) for the Orange system, which is on backorder anyway. Lots of Chinese options for about 1/3 the price -- I'm considering this as a throw-away if necessary.

Re: TPMS recommendations?
Currently I am using this tire pressure monitor that I got off of eBay for $50
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2145854131
And I must say it is very nice. And I am considering it a throwaway because of how cheap it is. But it does both psi and bar as well as the temperature of each tire in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
I charged it once, pretty much riding everyday, and it has lasted well over 2 months. And I must say it is accurate within, I'd say .25 PSI.

Re: TPMS recommendations?
Thanks. Although it says "unbranded", I recognize some of the graphics from a host of other Chinese versions. I'm betting they're all made in the same factory. Look at all the almost identical pups listed here (http://www.motorcylepartsandcollectible ... -tpms.html). This is the Pershn? (A search of "'Pershm' TPMS review" yielded no results. Looks like it's sold exclusively through EBay.)
This looks like the same thing but a cup of coffee cheaper (https://www.ebay.com/itm/TPMS-Motorcycl ... 3641.l6368).
One thing caught my eye: can you change the sensor batteries? I'm seeing lots of complaints about "old stock". The sensors evidently start discharging the battery in the factory.
I'm also looking for a car version just to get spare sensors; but I don't think those monitors are weatherproof. Else see if there's a source for replacement sensors (I see lots of generic sensors for <$10, but have to wonder whether they'd work with any particular monitor.)
For $50, really shouldn't get too choosy.
