I found a post a while back about tying or joining the gap between the engine crash guards to make it more solid.
Someone mentioned chrome bar etc.
I took a piece of solid Aluminum bar stock and machined it down to fit into the tubes. I f'd up on my length a bit but that's alright the gap is even.
Had I spent more time on the buffing wheel this would have looked just like chrome.
It really made the crash guards more rigid.
Now to find some nice highway pegs!
Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

LOL! I just used galvanized steel pipe. Drilled holes, secured with screws. Been in place for 7+ years. Not pretty, but very functional. Cheers!
