The alternator on my 1986 model is not charging. I took it to local alternator repair shop and they can not find the parts to repair it.
Is there a source for a good alternator?
Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Re: Source for alternator
I just Googled "Kawasaki Voyager 1200 alternator" and saw a number of them pop up. Can't speak to the quality of them, but if you oherwise get stuck it might be worth a shot. Below is one that will fit a 1986 -

Re: Source for alternator
It is my understanding that some of the cheaper alternators have bushings instead of roller or needle bearings, just beware of that possibility.
The life of those would be shorter.

Re: Source for alternator
Can find them around. My local alternator repair place got a new one for me 2 yrs ago for $200. It was a Mitsubishi which is what Kawa used. Found this place but they are out of stock right now.
