Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!
I've been thinking of doing this too... glad I stumbled on to these posts !! Alot of great ideas here.. I have a leftover piece of diamond plate in the shop that will get me started.. Planning on putting this on the 02 voy/12 with the burgandy and silver paint. It will have that H-D streetglide look. Then just leave the 03 voy/12 (two tone grey ) alone because mama likes her backrest and travel trunk

No, only the center tail light is LED. I made a plate out of stainless steel to replace the painted lens and fastened the surface mount tail light to it. Unfortunately, the plastic lens got destroyed when it fell off the shelf I had put it on. when I wired in the new tail light, I left the plug for the trunk lights. that way if I put the trunk back on I'll have both lights.

Are the lights at the bottom rear of the saddle bags factory stock items? I haven't seen to many other XII's, so I don't know if other bikes have them.

The cager waving at you might just be a frustrated, fellow biker.
I'd like to say hi, first post here. I joined this forum after abbikeboard, same name. I'm going trunkless too, but my ideas are going to take more time to fab. I've installed HD fairings on two Honda's, made a handlebar stereo for the VTX with fiberglass casing. I like to think outside the box and use anything that may look good. My Kawasaki backrest, partner needs one, is from a VN1600. Fabing adaptors isn't too hard. Then the hutch or small box is next, using Voyager parts, etc.. Last is to hinge the lid so it opens tethered from the side. I'll post as I'm going along. Working on getting the bike running right, right now.
I went to ace hardware, bought their stainless steel small hinge. That SS hnge was like chrome. I used 5mm, pretty short screws and nuts. Located the best spot, taped it to the lid, drilled. Placed lid on bottom, drilled. Getting tappered machine to fit nicely in the beveled part of the hinge (for looks), about impossible. Stil searching for nicer bolts.
