Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.

Man putting the cable on the Speedo cable is so easy. Plus was what was wrong. So now it shows the speed and hope the other stuff works along with it.
Takes longer to get the headlight out then install the cable. If I were doing it again. Would put a wire tie on top, where I did not have to chase the top collar. It would slip down the cable. A wire tie would have taken care of that issue.
Well glad to hear it was only a 13 dollar repair...
Just wondering , how you routed the cable ? did you run it in between the forks or toward the outside. I have mine in-between the tube's and it has lasted over 75,000 , I do grease it at every tire change and only sparingly . I feel to much grease puts more of a load on the cable . Let us know how every thing works now. It sure is nice to have cruse control and auto cancel turn signals.

Gene I ran it down and inside the left fork. That was the way the other one was routed. Plus just looked right ran that way.
And it was not only the cable. The gears were frozen up also. Along with the metal piece not out together right. So I had that part new also. And after washing out the old grease. Then had to run it through the Sonic bath to get all the crud out. Now it turns free and easy.
Waiting on caliper rebuild kits. Going through all three. As the rear was not releasing. Then found the left from doing the same. So rebuilding all three.
Just read these postings on your carb issues. Afraid I don't have too much advice, would think its likely the other way around. She's a nice looking bike. How did it turn out for you? Interested for my own sake...have a 99 I bought last year.
