Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Next round of questions

Next round of questions:

Ok, got the seat off (what a PITA). Got the left side crash bar removed - it was BADLY bent. I did get a nice pair of replacement bars on eBay, and got them powdercoated cheap (the chrome wasn't so hot).

1. There's small cover on the engine on that side, what does it cover, and does anyone know where I can get a new one? The crash bar was bent far enough back that it cracked the cover. Nothing is leaking, but I'd still like to replace it.

2. The PO (or PPO) put in a manual switch for the fan, and the temp gauge doesn't work. I know about eh ground wire issue, but how do I reconnect the fan to work automatically?

3. I need a new rear tire. I figure I'll replace the bearings/seals, but is there anything else I should check while I'm in there?

4. When I got the bike, there was a big gap between the chrome strip below the windshield, and the fairing above the headlight. I've pilled the chrome, and windshield, but I don't see anything amiss. How would I tell if the fairing stay is bent, or what the issue is? I am missing some of the screws that hold the windshield on, could that be the issue? There are the ones out by the mirrors, and 2 just over the headlight, but the ones in between are missing.
The fairings on the left side have some cracks and broken tabs, as soon as I can find the Plastifix, I'll be repairing that. But I notice that when I match the tabs up with the mounting holes, the don't match up with the fairing.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I did all this work on Saturday, but had the granddaughter on Sunday so nothing got done.

The small cover behind the front crash bar on the left covers the flywheel the one on the right is covering the ignition pickups, check with Carl Leo for one.
for the fan switch you will probably want to reference a wiring diagram.
When you change the rear tire look at the splines on the wheel and grease them also check the brake pads and torque the axle nut to speck do not over tighten it .
as for the broken tabs I been having good results with ABS pipe cement (ABS only cement it is a black color cement).
