If you can hear a noise from the front end at 30 to 50 MPH over the exhaust, intake, and wind noise, it is probably pretty bad.

Definitely do what Audidoc suggests and raise the front off the ground and spin the wheel. On a 2012 whatever it is should be covered under warranty.

Have you put on a new front tire . If so if you did not space the right hand axel spacer at 2MM as the manual says it is very important that you do this as if you do not the right hand brake caliper will not line up and your brake will drag and wear out the pads . Also it could cause fluid in the caliper with the added friction and heat to flash off and cause the brakes to lock up. it can happen it did on my 1200.So check the space between the lip on the spacer and the fork tube I think this might be your problem. This happened to me the first time I changed my front tire.

I've got to go with 1700Guy's probable cause. Same thing happened to me. Maintaining proper axle spacing on front end is critical to brake longevity and noise reduction.
