Many of the roads had posted speed limits of 55 MPH and I was wondering who could possibly drive/ride them at that speed!
Had to be watchful of black ice in some of the shady areas.
A lot of the Blue Ridge Parkway was closed due to weather but a section that lead up to Mount Mitchel was open on Saturday. Love the BRP.
The approach road to the summit of Mount Mitchel was a little Sketchy.
but the view was worth it.
I also stopped a other overlooks, but with the shorter daylight hours I didn't want to linger too long.
I also rode the Foothills Parkway on my way too the mountains. There was still some fall colors around.
Also found some curvy roads on my way home.
