Wondering how difficult it is to replace the clutch springs? Special tools needed?
Is it a dealer job, Or something a average skilled person could do?

Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.

Very simple job, Just remove cover (drain oil first) unscrew springs and re-install new springs, very inexpensive. You will need a new gasket and the hard part is removeing all of the old gasket. BUT!! while you are in there it would be a good idea to remove & clean and inspect fiber & steel plates, very simple, just make sure you keep "exact" position of each plate the same. depending what year you have you may want to go farther in and check or replace (spyder, star springs) They are the ones that sometimes break and get caught inbetween plates and make clutch slip or act funky. The regular springs have a tolerance that you measure their length, if out replace. I replaced with aftermarket "Barnett" springs, they are stronger springs which make the clutch pull harder but not bad, Under normal ciicumstances the factory would be just fine. I pulled a trailer and thought they would be better, worked great.
