Has anyone tried 108 70 16 tires on the Voyager 1700?

What brand tires are you looking at? I ran Dunlop E3s on the rear twice that were a little narrower and taller than stock. Got 16,000 and 13,000 miles out of them.

I am now running Michelin Commander IIs in a slightly wider than stock size.

I just did a quick search and those tires will only get you 6000 miles, but are made for those who want grip when taking off from lights. If that is what you are into, go for it.

The Michelin Commander II I got is 180/65-16 and should easily go 20,000 miles. Sure, it is not for those who drag race or scrape floorboards in every curve, but it is a great touring tire that works well and cost per mile is very acceptable. Especially for those who have to pay the dealer to mount and balance.
