Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

ZG1200 Air Box Question

Post by Larry in Arkansas »

I removed my carburetors some time ago to have them rebuilt. I've installed the rebuilt carburetors along with the air box, but cannot remember nor find the hose or part that attaches to the rear lower air box where the bracket is. I cannot get a picture good enough to post, but the parts drawing shows the part I am inquiring about.

That is the crankcase ventilation pipe and without it after operation for awhile you will have an oily film in the area where it fits onto the breather body.
Also, not having it installed could allow moisture and other undesirable elements to enter the crank case.
Usually it stays with the lower air box as it is so hard to R&R.

Thanks. Looking at the top of the breather body I can see where it fits now. I don't know how it happened, but the tube opening is pointed upward, so that's where I was looking for something to attach to. When I looked earlier I thought where the hose goes was just a part of the breather body casting. Wish i had noticed this as i was putting the air box on, as there isn't much room to maneuver. :-(
