Carb draining question
When you drain your carbs of gas, do they flow into this thing or do they just pee on the ground? (Double posted the pic and it's rotated for some reason.)

I can't speak for the California models but the other U.S. state models and the Canadian models just exit onto the ground by the center stand area under the swing arm.

Similar to a Harley marking it's territory, only the HD's do it with oil (all the time)!

Gertrude used to pee on the ground occasionally, but after getting into the habit of occasionally draining the bowls, and two years of running Seafoam (and now I use Techron) she doesn't pee gas anymore. However, when it's below freezing overnight she dribbles a little bit of coolant - coolant pipe o-rings, I assume. Future fix, maybe LOL.

I think I'll be draining the carbs a lot, at least in the immediate future. See my post about "dirt in gas". There are pics showing a LOT of crap coming out of the carbs into my catch-lid. Since there was zero dirt inside the old filter, I'm wondering if the existing fuel pump, itself, is the source of whatever junk made its' way into the carbs. I mean, the only thing between the non-dirty fuel filter to the carbs is the fuel pump.
It was suggested in a FB group to continue to drain the carbs and see what "new" stuff comes out. When I do this a few times, I'll have pics in sequence to compare to each other.
But hey! At least my new Shinko 777 tires showed up today!
