Rear ride height

Post by SantaCruzer »

Hello all how do I change the rear ride height. Right now when I ride my butt is lower than my knees. I think the schlock’s have been replaced. There is an adjustment on the bottom of adjustments will that raise the height. If so do I need to take the weight of the wheel. Picture is the adjustment

If it is Worth doing ,
It is worth doing twice.

You should read up on shock preload -- that isn't really for ride height.

Be aware that whatever you do to elevate the passenger in their seat, you will make the bike more top-heavy, making handling of it, more challenging/difficult.

Wife and I trade places on long rides, usually every two hours. We also employ purple air-inflated cushions, for such long rides... These cushions elevate the riders, raising the bike's Center of Gravity, which makes the bike more top-heavy, and more difficult to control.

Don't mean to rain on your ride, I just want to remind you of the Center of Gravity for the bike, and how it affects handling -- especially when both riders are elevated on cushions (like us, on our '93 Voyager XII... ). Cheers!
